We are constantly looking for ways to improve and build upon our existing curricula. In this sense, we always appreciate the input of international contributors, since they are often best suited to bring in different methods and skills, as well as a fresh eye.
Today, our Summer School program aims to provide the participants with a holistic educational experience, regrouping academic classes and football training. The classes are thus changed on a yearly basis, which is where outside help from professionals and volunteers is always a great help in designing the curriculum.
For example, Bruce Robertson, hailing from Australia, came to the 2014 edition of the Summer School to introduce the participants to G.R.A.C.E., the self-defence system he created. Focusing on conflict resolution techniques and simple power moves, this new knowledge has been instrumental in creating a safe space for the Mighty Girls and building up the capacity and confidence of the girls who attend our summer school.
